FRIDAY LETTER OCTOBER 8, 2021

Stan-by generator 99th AVE booster pump station.

The A.T.S (automatic transfer switch) control panel had a copastor short circuit and needs a new panel, unfortunately the warranty expired 7-14-2021 and will cost $5,667.73 to replace. The part has been ordered and am waiting to here back on when Tacoma Diesel will be able to fix it, parts are slow to get these days that is the hold-up.

New fencing around Sandy Shores well.

To help protect the Sandy Shores well and keep someone from possibly falling into the pond we have found a fencing out fit in Tacoma (Fence Specialist) to come out on December 13th and install chain link fence with two gates and a single strand of barbwire at the top.

The Springs will be getting a new gate and small section of fencing on either side of the gate as well. We are required to protect our water sources in any way we can whether it be from terrorism, vandalism, ground pollution or other. This is a great steep in protecting our water sources!

THE OTHER TWO BACK-UP GENERATORS.

I will be changing the oil and filter for the Springs and Sandy Shores well generators today ready for whatever winter throws at us.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!! STAY WARM AND DRY IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR.

Dave, what is the “expected lifetime” of the ATS panel. I’d think much longer than the warranty period. Why the early failure? (I’ve had companies extend a warranty when its just a couple months — any grounds to negotiate around this pre-mature failure?)

Yes, this is an area of concern. Capacitors from China have failed at a high rate not just in ATS’s but in a wide array of electronic systems – both industrial and consumer. Please work with the vendor on this.
