Main Break Repaired, Silos Full

The recent main break near 97th Ave SW and SW 288th St has been repaired and full service to the area restored. The silos have refilled and are near capacity. All requests to minimize consumption are lifted. The break was caused by a tree root that severed a 2″ line very near the main line, permitting excess flow and water loss. A single residence was served by the line; no property damage occurred. DWA again thanks all our members for their patient assistance, and applauds the work of our team to locate, isolate and repair the main!

This topic and more will be discussed at DWA’s monthly board meeting to be held tomorrow, Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 AM. All Shareholders are welcome to join in person at the DWA building or via Zoom.

Water Leak Located

The recent water main break has been located near SW 288th St and 97th Ave SW. The flow of water has been limited to prevent further significant water loss. Shareholders south of SW 285th St may experience reduced water pressure for the next 24-48 hours until the leak can be repaired and full water service restored. All shareholders are asked to continue limiting consumption for the next 24 hours to help the silos refill as quickly as possible. Thank you everyone for your patience and for looking out for signs of the water leak and notifying Dave. Many thanks also to Dave and Skylar for their diligent work to locate the break and minimize its impacts!
