Water main break!
On Monday February 27th I got a call from a contractor building a new house at the South end of 94th AVE upper Sandy Shores letting me know that water was coming out of the ground in front of the house he is building.
I did what I always do, I sent in an emergency dig permit because locates had been done recently I did not need to call that in which meant not having to wait till the next day to dig. I then called Frank Zellerhoff (Zellerhoff Construction) He showed up right away and started digging. The valve to shut the water off to make the repair is the valve that shuts water off to all of upper and lower Sandy Shores and Point Piner the good news is people were out of water for only two hours the fix was relatively easy. After extensive flushing we had everyone back in water by 6:00pm.
Annual meeting.
From now until June you will be getting letters with your water bill informing you of important information concerning the Annual meeting, vote on the annual budget voting for new board members bylaws changes and your CCR (customer confidence report lots of information concerning water quality). This bill has the call for candidates there are three board positions open so be on the lookout for that in this bill.
