Dockton Water Association (DWA) is actively seeking candidates interested in serving on the Board of Directors (BOD). Board members serve two-year terms, effective on the date of the Annual Shareholders meeting at which they are elected.
If you are interested in running, you can learn more about current activities and future projects by reviewing past meeting minutes or attending a BOD meeting. Meetings are scheduled on the fourth Saturday of the month, starting at 10:00 AM. Upcoming meetings are April 26 and May 24.
Directors will be elected by a majority vote of DWA’s membership. Ballots will be included in the next monthly bill. Results will be announced at the Annual Shareholders meeting on Saturday, June 28.
Expected Level of Commitment:
- Serve a two-year term beginning June 28, 2025
- Attend (in-person or remotely) monthly BOD meetings, typically lasting two hours; committee meetings or other special meetings, as needed
- Active participation in the affairs of DWA, discussions, review of materials, and willingness to serve on or chair a committee
- Respond to email or other DOB communications, as needed
- Additional activities, as needed
- Time commitment for all meetings and communications is approx. 3-5 hours per month
Candidate Requirements:
- Member of DWA in good standing
- Willing to fulfill the legal, fiduciary and financial responsibilities of a director
